About iFAMS

Supporting a more organised academic review process

A digital workflow for course submissions, academic feedback, routing decisions, and progress tracking.

Our purpose

The iFAMS Academic Council System organises the course review journey across the Teacher/Course Owner, Board of Studies (BOS), Academic Council, and Principal-level stages. It provides role-appropriate workflow actions and helps authorised users consult available review comments, decisions, and status history.

The challenge

Academic course proposals may pass through several stakeholders. When review requests, comments, forwarding, returns, and status updates are coordinated manually across separate channels, it can be difficult to follow the current stage and next action.

Our approach

iFAMS brings configured review stages into a role-based digital workflow to support coordination and traceability while keeping feedback connected to the relevant submission.

Who the system supports

  • Teachers and course owners
  • BOS Chairmen and BOS Members
  • Academic Council Chairman and Academic Council Members
  • Principal-level decision-makers
  • System administrators

Governance comes first

The system supports institutional processes; it does not replace statutes, ordinances, academic regulations, or the authority of formally designated decision-makers. Academic Council Member reviews are advisory in the described workflow.
